A Glass screen is often the initial barrier at first contact in a Hospital, Surgery or School Reception between staff and the general public. The reception glass screen as the one pictured to the left allows good communication between parties and allows for small items such as letters to be passed both ways.
Glass has the added benefit that it is easily cleaned using standard cleaning equipment.
Glass is less prone to scratching and discolouration, compared to plastics.
Infection Prevention Control
Infection Prevention Control (IPC) also relates to deliberate acts such as spitting.
A glass reception screen can also assist in reducing or preventing Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI). A screen will also offer a degree of protection against Physical attack. To which degree will be dependant on the exact specification.

Food Displays and Preparation
This Frameless glass screen was installed to shield and protect prepared food from Inquisitive hands within a London Restaurant.
The Frameless design makes the screen almost invisible.

Privacy screens
We can make a Glass screen to any specification which could suit multiple applications, such as the screen on the right. This screen was manufactured using a coloured laminated interlayer, which gave a smart obscured finish. This was perfect for allowing privacy between two adjacent balcony areas.
Glass can be cut and shaped to create almost any design.
Transport office Screens
We had a request from a haulage company to alter one of their existing windows, to include a parcel hatch to the bottom and a speech unit as pictured.
This was to enable drivers to approach the transport reception without the need to enter the building, Keys and documentation can easily be passed through the sliding hatch that was created at the bottom of the window, and the speak-thru allows good two way communication whilst retaining a hygienic and safe environment.
External Screens fitted at a large distribution and storage facility in a coastal area. To shield the main driver’s reception from the high winds they had been experiencing, that forced the main doors open.
During the Refurbishment of a London secondary school we were requested to install some very large screens in a library which were designed by an architect to protect an art exhibition.
These screens required structural support and hidden steel work, due to the combined weight of the 10.8mm Glass and Aluminium totalling over 2.5 tonnes.
Inspection/Vision Windows
A to Z Glazing also replace and install various types of visual inspection windows mainly in an Hospital environment. The ones pictured are constructed with a horizontal venetian stripe on two panes, when the control lever is turned the window is totally obscured. These can also be made as key operation only.
